Thomas Pocket:
Place sts on a holder or spare needle.
Working on the center 30 sts only follow the graph below,
Work 5 rows garter st bind off loosely.
Return to original sts on holder or spare needle,
Working the first and last 5 sts of every row in garter st,
Work in st st picking up and knitting together 1 st from the side
edge of pocket at the beginning of every row until pocket has been
“grafted” into body. |

Continue until work measures 9
(10-11-12-13) ins from beginning ending with RS facing for next row. |

Divide for front
opening:
Next row: Pattern 47 (52-57-62-67) sts. Turn. Leave remaining
sts on a spare needle.
Next row: Pattern to end of row.
Work even in pattern until work from beg measures 11 (12-13-14-15)
ins, ending with WS facing for next row. |

Neck shaping:
Next row: Cast off 6 (6-7-7-8) sts. Pat to end of row. 41
(46-50-55-59) sts.
Dec 1 st at neck edge on next and following alt rows to 36
(41-45-50-54) sts.
Continue even until work measures 13 (14-15-16-17) ins from
beginning, ending with WS facing for next row.
Leave all sts on a spare needle.
With RS of work facing, join yarn to rem sts. Pattern to end of row.
47 (52-57-62-67) sts.
Work Right Side to correspond to Left Side, reversing all shapings. |

BACK:
Joining row: Pattern to end of row 36 (41-45-50-54) sts.
Cast on 22 (22-24-24-26) sts. Pattern 36 (41-45-50-54) sts from
spare needle 94 (104-114-124-134)sts.
Continue even in pattern, until work from joining row measures 5
rows less than Front,
Change to smaller needles and knit 4 rows. Bind off knitwise (WS). |
