This pattern has served me well for
about 40 years. As my children grew I added a size, when I
moved to the US I converted it to use US sized needles and yarn.
Then I was able to put all my notes together and turn the pattern
into an excel chart and now I am using it for my grandchildren. I
usually work them in the round on 4 dpn's but they can be worked
flat on 2 needles. |

Living in Florida I am often asked why I
knit hats and mittens for my Florida Grandchildren in this answer
obviously Mom & Dad had the A/C too low. The fact that he took his
clothes off to try on his hat & mittens we have not figured out but
it does make for a good picture. |
