Age (yrs): 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18
Head Size (ins): 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25
 
Materials:
Worsted Weight Cotton yarn, Needles Sizes 3.75 mm (U.S. 5) and
4 mm (U.S. 6) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 20 sts/24 rows = 4 ins with larger needles in st st.

Shape Top:
Rows 1-7: K2 tog to end
Rows 2-8: K to end
Finish off by threading yarn through stitches and secure.
 
Add A Pom Pom: My "Pom Pom" is actually a covered Table Tennis Ball.
 
Living in Florida I am often asked why I knit hats and mittens for my Florida Grandchildren in this answer obviously Mom & Dad had the A/C too low. The fact that he took his clothes off to try on his hat & mittens we have not figured out but it does make for a good picture.
