Girl's Drop Stitch Shrug

This pattern makes elbow length sleeves but they can be made any length. I added a beaded cuff which was a big hit with my Granddaughter's

Size approx: 26”, 28” chest, 6, 10 yrs

Materials:
Worsted weight cotton yarn, circular or dp needles size US 4 & 5 and US 8 straight needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 5 sts/6 rows to 1 inch in st st using US size 5 needles.
Suggested gauge is 3 stitches to the inch and about 3 rows to the inch for the drop stitch pattern.

I recommend that you do a swatch to adjust the gauge to your yarn as this is a generic pattern that you can size to suit your yarn and the wearer. This is especially important with the drop stitch, as it reacts differently with different yarns.
