After watching this episode of Knitty Gritty I was skeptical to say the least but I had to try out this technique of knitting a "Finger Tube" on 2 needles.

Toddler Fingerless "Hooray for Me" Gloves

Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton yarn, Needles Size 4 US (10 UK) 3.25mm
and 3 US (11 UK) 3mm
or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 20 sts/24 rows = 4 ins with larger needles in st st.
I applied the techniques learned above to a pattern I already had.
I did have to pay attention, one wrong stitch and you have a join in the finger.
Definitely a technique worth mastering, I have no problem using multiple needles but

glove fingers can be tricky.  For those who have never attempted to use multiple

needles this technique will open up a whole new world of projects.

I think the result is acceptable
