Sleeves (make 2):

Using smaller DPNs, cast on 28, (30, 32) stitches and work 2 inches in k1, p1 rib.
Change to larger needles and St St.
Round 1: Knit and Increase to 40 (44, 48) stitches.
Continue straight until sleeve is 6 (6.25, 6.5) inches long excluding Rib.
Put 4 stitches on a pin or holder.
Leave remaining 36 (40, 44)sts on a holder.

Body:

Using smaller needles, cast on 114 (122, 134) stitches.
First row (RS): K2, *p1, k1* across to last two stitches, K2.
Second row (WS): P2, *k1, p1* across to last two stitches, P2.
Repeat these two rows for 1.5 inches ending with WS.

Pocket:
Find the center front of work (29 (31, 34)) place a marker, count 15sts either side of center front marker and place a marker (total 31sts).
Use a contrasting yarn and thread it through these 31sts.
Change to larger needles.
First row above rib: Knit to first marker and place sts on a holder,
Knit 31 pocket sts, turn.
Purl 31 pocket sts.
Follow the graph/chart for the “Bunny”
Change to smaller needles and K1, P1 Rib for 1 inch.
Bind Off loosely.
Leave Center Front Marker in place you will need it for the neckband.
Return to the sts placed on a holder and transfer them to your right hand needle, pick up and knit 31sts from base of pocket using the thread as a “stitch guide”, continue working body of sweater as directed.
To Attach the Pocket you can either sew it in place when work is finished or pick up a st from each side of the pocket and knit it together with the appropriate body stitch on every right side row.

Continue Body:

Continue in St St until body measures 6 (6.75, 7.5) inches from beginning, ending with a WS row.

Note: Work will now be done back and forth to create the V-Neck at the same time as joining and shaping the armholes.  If this is the first time you have done this it might seem a little confusing but I have found it to be a technique worth mastering.  The first few rounds are going to be very tight when you knit across the sleeves.

Join the sleeves and the body.

Join Row: With RS of work facing find the center front of work using the marker already in place, count 3sts to the right of the center front st and join yarn.
Knit the first 7 stitches AND place the loops back on a holder instead of slipping them off your needle.
Knit 23 (25, 28) body sts for right front, (Place a marker for Raglan Shaping).
Slip the next 4sts onto a pin or holder for underarm.
Knit across the 36 (40, 44)sts of one sleeve. (Place a marker for Raglan Shaping).
Knit the next 53 (57, 63) body sts for the back. (Place a marker for Raglan Shaping).
Slip the next 4sts onto a pin or holder for underarm.
Knit across the 36 (40, 44)sts of the second sleeve. (Place a marker for Raglan Shaping).
Knit the last 23 (25, 28) body sts for left front.
Knit into the front (girl) or back (boy) of the first 7 stitch loops from the holder.
Total 185 (201, 221) sts.

Note: Work the first and last 7sts in K1, P1 Rib for the V-Neck band on every row.

Shaping the yoke:

You will decrease before and after every marker on every RS row for the raglans.
There will be 16 (18, 20) raglan decrease rounds AT THE SAME TIME, you will need to decrease one stitch at each front edge every 4th row for the V_Neck shaping.
Here are the first few yoke rows, written out to help you see how it works:
Row 1: and all WS rows, Purl.
Row 2: Rib 7, Knit to 2 stitches before marker, *K2 tog, slip marker, K2 tog tbl* repeat from * to * at each marker, knit to last 7sts rib to end.
Row 4: Rib 7, K2tog, Knit to 2 stitches before marker, *K2 tog, slip marker, K2 tog tbl* repeat from * to * at each marker, knit to last 9 stitches, K2tog, Rib to end.
Row 6: Repeat row 2
Row 8: Repeat row 4
Continue on until you have 9, (8, 8) stitches in each front section. There will be 4 stitches in each sleeve section and 21 (21, 23) for the back. Total 41 (45, 47) sts.

Collar:

Change to K1, P1 Rib and work for 3 inches.
Bind Off Loosely.

Finishing:

Close the underarm “holes”. Fold the collar and secure at each corner with a button. I secured the bottom of the V-Neck band with a button. Weave in threads.
